The Kitchen: A Good Food Gathering

You’ve probably struggled with us to support our life-sustaining choice of fresh organic produce in an increasingly toxic culture of instant everything, consumerism and disposability. Now, we believe we know what’s missing: a community kitchen! We think of this not only as a space, but also a collective practice to nourish ourselves and each other and to grow a new culture of solidarity through food and dialogue. 

You are invited! Please join us on November 16, Saturday from 3-7PM at PRRM Roofdeck for The Kitchen: A Good Food Gathering.

We’ll be speaking about the role of kitchens in our food system, how kitchens have been transformative in the work of good food and why our community wants to build a community kitchen! Of course, we will be cooking and eating together! More than a workshop to share skills or a sit-down dinner to be served, this is intended to be a participatory practice to prefigure the table based on food justice. We hope this event will fill your tummies, your hearts and your mind with the dream of all Filipinos fed.

Each ticket of 1,500 will help cover costs of food, labor and the transportation costs of our urban poor community members.
